is a new network which has now been launched across Europe. The network, funded by FP7
, is focused upon ensuring that the creative industries can gain access to cutting edge technologies that have been developed under applied research programmes. CIKTN is supporting and promoting the DigiBIC network with Jeremy Davenport, CIKTN's Co-Founder and D. Director, chairing its Advisory Board.
Coordinated by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network (EBN), the network is gaining momentum. The aim of the DigiBIC Technology Demonstration Session, taking place on 15th June in Toulon as part of the EBN Annual Congress, is to give a real understanding of what tools and technologies can do to benefit businesses in the creative industries.
In addition, the DigiBIC website has now gone live and contains a range of information. Its Catalogue of Tools is based on the CIKTN model of creative industries sectors and fields of technological innovation. Registering on the website allows you to use the DigiBIC platform as a route to market for promoting your technologies or services throughout Europe. Alternatively, becoming a regional centre of support for the DigiBIC network allows members to benefit from positioning on the platform, showcasing opportunities, specialist training and priority invitation to participate in EU funding calls.
