The Technology Strategy Board's Competition for Collaborative Research and Development Investment in Creative Industries.

A total of £10m has been allocated against three different initiatives to support and promote technology inspired innovation in Creative Industry companies.

This optional briefing session on 23 April will provide a valuable opportunity to find out more about the Technology Strategy Board and particularly about its Creative Industries calls for proposals for collaborative research and development, which was announced on 8 November 2007.

The optional briefing event on 23 April will enable you to find out more about each of the initiatives for the Creative Industries sector;

·         Collaborative R&D – Application of Digital Technologies - open to UK based creative companies large and small for collaborative project proposals to develop new products, services, processes, and capability and business models to exploit digital technologies.

·         Feasibility Studies - offering small awards to SMEs who need to buy in skills and resources to develop initial ideas into robust propositions to secure further development funding

·         Fast Track Projects – funding for smaller shorter collaborative projects targeted at SMEs

Potential applicants – and those who have already expressed an interest – will have the chance to meet and discuss with the Technology Strategy Board, get guidance on how to apply, attend one-to-one clinics on their subject.

The event will be held at QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, London.

The event is free so please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
